Last Night RNC convention culminated with an amazing Stump Speech keynote address from Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey. Chris Christie is one of the new rising stars of the Republican Party. Christie has a brash charismatic and unapologetic style that has garnered him much praise and admiration but just as many critics and detractors. If you follow me on twitter @SeanBreeze I have been giving the play by play of the Republican National Convention speeches all night. I ended my night with the 5 simple things that The Chris Christie Stump Speech at the #RNC2012 taught me that I already knew. So I figured I would share them with you today on FWDnation. So here we go
Here are my 5 things The Chris Christie Stump Speech at the #RNC2012 taught me that I already knew.
- Christie is an exceptional politician. He is just good at this. Plain and simple
- Chris Christie doesn’t think Mitt Romney can beat Barack Obama
- Chris Christie doesn’t want Mitt Romney to win. Period
- Chris Christie will run for President in 2016
- Mitt Romney can’t beat Barack Obama in this election.
I am very interested to see Chris Christie run for President in 2016. I believe a matchup between him and Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley (another politician I see prime for a run in 2016) or Hillary Clinton would be quite interesting campaigns. Chris Christie is clearly a man with further political aspirations and he used last night to be his introduction to the GOP and the national electorate. It took Governor Christie 15 minutes to even mention Governor Romney’s name. It is clear to me that Chris Christie wants to be President of the United States and he cannot be that in 2016 if Mitt Romney is in 2012. I must say Chris Christie made a strong rhetorical case for himself last night unfortunately for his party he isn’t running for President yet and Mitt Romney is now. Let me know your thoughts on Chris Christie’s speech last night and follow me on twitter for @SeanBreeze for Pt.2 of my commentary on the #RNC2012.
